Why is my bum skin peeling and bleeding?

Patient's Query

I am 24 years old , my bum skin is peeling off and I bleed when bowel comes out , my vagina is red and has a hot temperature.

Answered by Dr. Anju Methil

You may have a fissure. This happens if your bowels are making too much effort when you go to the toilet. It is a kind of cut near your bum. It makes excretion painful and can lead to bleeding. On the other hand, having a hot and red vagina could mean you have an infection. To cure both butt and vagina issues, try increasing your daily water intake; include high-fiber foods in your diet as well. Lastly, visit a medical dermatologist for professional treatment.

Hair loss can be caused by a various factors such as genetics, hormonal changes, stress, medications etc. But there are treatments such as topical medications like minoxidil, hair transplants, etc.  that exist to manage hair loss issues. I recommend you to visit a qualified hair transplant doctor. Based on the severity of your hair loss and other factors, he may suggest the best solution for you.

Hello, I have redness on my nose, I would like to get rid of it, as its not the same colour and it looks ugly. I kinda know why its red. I had erythema multiforme, after someone drank from my water bottle and i got herpes simplex, i had red dots on my hand, knees, elbows, and one on my nosebridge now its gone, but ever since i have a discolored nose. The top where it connects to the forehead is white and below its a red colour, what can I do to get back the original colour of my nose, is there any medication that can help?

Male | 21

That redness on your nose might be leftover swelling. Don't worry though, with some gentle TLC, it should fade. Be sure to moisturize and use mild products. Staying out of harsh sunlight (and SPF!) will also keep discoloration away. It may take time, but your skin will heal.

Hello Doctor, I am a 30 year old female and I recently noticed open pores on my face, what should I do? My daily routine is: use himalaya neem face wash, then moisturize skin and I happen to have oily & dull skin. Can you pls suggest what should I do? Thank you!

Female | 30

I would like to start by recommending a daily skincare routine for the problems you are facing. Start with Oil control cleansers with AHA's or BHA's to clear the oil and dirt from your face 2-4 times a day. Use a Vit C serum or day serum in the morning if you are at home and you can add sunscreen on top if you are going to go out and will get exposed to sunlight. Evening, after wash use a toner to neutralize and calm your skin. Before bed, use a coat of moisturizer and additional retinol-based anti-aging serum to finish. If it's a major concern, please contact a dermatologist.

According to your symptoms, it is melasma that you might have. It is common during pregnancy as dark marks are forming on the face, especially on the nose and cheeks. It is recommended to visit a dermatologist who can accurately identify and treat your condition

Hi I am taking esomeprazole, lipitor, lisinopril, citalopram and ropinerole. I want to know if it it safe to take anti sweat tablets. Thank you

Female | 59

Sweating is your body's natural way to cool down. Certain medications can increase sweat production as a side effect or be symptoms of underlying medical conditions. Anti-sweat tablets reduce sweat secretion but may interact with your current medications. It's crucial to consult your doctor for a safe solution. They can adjust your medications or suggest alternative treatments to address the root cause of your sweating. Always communicate openly with your doctor about any concerns or changes in your medication regimen to ensure your health is prioritized.

I’m facing a lot of hairfall my scalp gets oily after 12 hours also I’m having a lot of dandruff which is not dry like it’s oily without applying any oil my hair from outside looks damaged and dry

Female | 23

Lots of oil from your scalp could cause hair fall. Your scalp may quickly become oily after a few hours. You might have oily dandruff flakes. Your hair may seem dry and damaged. Together, these signs point towards seborrheic dermatitis. This skin issue makes your scalp produce too much oil. The extra oil leads to dandruff and hair troubles. A medicated shampoo for oily dandruff can improve your scalp health and can reduce your hair fall.

Sir, I am 23 year old. I don't have beard. I barely have any hair under my chin. Please help me with my beard growth.

Male | 23

The dermatologist will first need your family history and trichoscopy examination for the evidence of vellus hairs. Then they might begin their treatment with minoxidil, micro-needling and Growth factor injections. If no improvement is seen however, then they will suggest hair transplant.

Which sunscreen is best for normal sensitive skin ?

Female | 25

For normal sensitive skin requires a sunscreen that has a broad spectrum with at least SPF level 30. Avoid products with chemical like benzophenones and camphor because they may cause skin irritation. Consult with a dermatologist for a personalized recommendation as per your skin type and condition
