Can I be pregnant if I have irregular periods and a positive pregnancy test before my missed period?

Patient's Query

Mere period date abhi miss nhi hua hai pr pregnancy test positive aaya hai or mujhe irregular periods ki bhi problem hai to kya mai pregnant ho skti hu?

Answered by Dr. Mohit Saraogi

If your test for pregnancy turns out to be positive, it implies that you are already pregnant irrespective of whether your period has been late or not. An abnormal period may indicate any health problem that can affect your pregnancy. A visit to the doctor who is a specialist in high-risk pregnancies is a must for you as soon as possible.

Cricpill tab safe during 5th month pregnancy

Female | 30

I would recommend that pregnant women avoid taking whatever medicine without consulting her doctor at least in the fifth month of pregnancy. Before using any medication during pregnancy, it is advisable that one should make sure to consult a gynecologist

I'm 19 I have problems lately I'm missing my period for two weeks already and also have to go to toilet for pee every 10 minutes and also eating a lot more then usual when I took pregnancy test results show negative

Female | 19

Not having your period, frequent urination, and increased appetite are potential signs of a problem. It could be the result of having the wrong periods, anxiety, or even some physical problem. Be aware that consuming nutritious food and managing stress can be beneficial. Follow the doctor's advice and start with a thorough check-up to get in touch with your body better.

I got my period on the 19th of November and it ended on the 25th of November. I had sex on the 1st of December without a condom and ejaculated outside. I bought and took Ella one emergency contraceptive pill in the afternoon of 2nd December. I just had sex again and also ejaculated outside, can I get pregnant?

Female | 25

Taking Ella one within 120 hours after unprotected sex reduces pregnancy risk . Ejaculating outside also reduces pregnancy risk . However , there is still a chance of pregnancy. Emergency contraceptives are not 100% effective. Use condoms for STI prevention.

I am 39years old, i have lower back pain for at least 2 weeks, i feel like i have a prolapsed uterus, Seeing or feeling tissue bulge out of the vagina Feeling heaviness or pulling in the pelvis Feeling like the bladder doesn't empty all the way when you use the bathroom Problems with leaking urine, also called incontinence Trouble having a bowel movement and needing to press the vagina with your fingers to help have a bowel movement Feeling as if you're sitting on a small ball

Female | 39

Your symptoms point to pelvic organ prolapse, a condition where pelvic muscles weaken. This causes uterus, bladder or bowel to bulge into vagina, causing discomfort. For relief, try pelvic floor exercises - these strengthen muscles. You could also use a pessary device to support organs. If case is severe, surgery may help.

I am not having my periods from 3 months

Female | 13

It is normal for girls to not have their period some times. The big reason is often changes in hormones. Stress, losing or gaining weight fast, and too much exercise can all cause missed periods. Living a healthy life and not being stressed can help. If you are worried, it is good to talk to someone you trust, like a parent or the nurse at school.

Does consuming a 5% alcohol beer during pregnancy increase the risk of miscarriages?

Female | 25

It's generally recommended to avoid alcohol or to consume it in moderation for those who are trying to conceive or are already pregnant.
Even if its 5% alcohol beer in moderation and may not have a significant impact on fertility or pregnancy outcomes, it's important to know that every person and pregnancy is unique.
