Hello my name is Amir I'm from Iran and I want to donate my kidney please guide me if there is a way to do that in India Best regards

We are extremely sorry for replying late and look up to you for your noble thoughts & causes. As far as donating organs is concerned, in India you would have to take permission from Authorization committee. And if you are below 18 then you would need to have consent of your parents as well. Then you can go to a hospital and consult doctors. If you wish to learn what possible tests you would have to go through for donor-recipient compatibility test, then you can refer this blog - Kidney Transplant cost in India. And this might help you out in terms of finding suitable hospital - Best Kidney Transplant Hospitals in India.

Hello doctor, I want to save money for my grandfather's stem cell therapy treatment on kidney failure, he is 75 years old, could you please let me know the estimate cost?

  • Currently, stem cell therapy for kidney failure treatment has not been granted by approval by the FDA, but otherwise, kidney failure should be treatable by either dialysis or kidney transplant.
Albeit, some studies show good chances of this treatment being used for patients in near future.
  • Approximate cost estimates:
    • Kidney transplant: Rs. 3,94,000 - Rs. 4,87,000.
    • Dialysis: Rs. 4000 to Rs. 15000 per month.
  • Study material from our end:
    • This article could give you an in-depth knowledge of formalities associated with kidney transplant, medical test requirements, and cost breakdown - Kidney Transplant in India.

Is my right nephrolithiasis causing severe complications?

The symptoms are similar to a clot that is apparently located in the right lower stomach according to your description. These are a variety of factors such as a burst cyst or it's possible that the right ovary is affected. The common signs that may occur are pain, bloating, or abnormal bleeding. It is necessary to perform additional tests for identification and then plan the appropriate treatment accordingly.

Hello, my brother has diabetes, which has damaged both kidneys. The doctors have recommended dialysis as an immediate measure while waiting for a kidney transplant. In our country, the law stipulates that you can only donate a kidney to a family member, and none of the family members have his type of kidney. My question is, can the hospital offer or donate the kidney to the hospital/clinic, and if so, how much would it cost?

Kidney transplantation is a standard medical procedure. Hospitals and clinics in India do offer kidney transplant services, but it's crucial to consult directly with these facilities for the most up-to-date information on the availability, cost, and eligibility for kidney transplantation. Costs can vary widely depending on the hospital, the type of transplant, and other factors. You can check for detailed information here - Kidney transplant hospitals in India & Cost of Kidney Transplant
